ATP Series II is an improved version of ATP with greater adhesion, bleed resistance and printability. It is our toughest, most durable ink and can cure as low as 300 degrees F (reduces nylon shrinkage). Great for printing on polyester, Cordura, Dazzle cloth, micromesh, nylon, etc.
ATP's are designed for sportswear printing. Print on Sportswear, Duffel bags, Backpacks, Bag Straps, etc. This rubbery Plastisol ink may be printed thick for lettering and transfers, or thin to give a soft hand, as on 100% cotton. The ink has very low bleed characteristics and is recommended for use on nylon, polyesters, cottons and blends. ATP's were not formulated for printing on water-proofed (siliconed) nylon jackets unless a special additive is used (MF-66.) and even then, nylon shell may need to be solvent wiped first. (ALWAYS TEST FOR ADHESION BEFORE PRODUCTION)
A coarse screen mesh (83) or coarser is recommended. Throwaway organdy screens work well. When printing through 60 mesh, one gallon will cover approximately 500 square feet.
CURING: Recommended cure temperature for direct screen printing is 300 - 325 F., for 60 to 90 seconds, depending on oven type and thickness of ink deposit. A shorter time, 30 seconds, is used for semi-cure when making transfers. ATP inks have the lowest cure temperature and highest strength of our 3 lines of ink. High temperature in transfer press could cause bleed on polyester caps and shirts. If this occurs go to 300 F in transfer press.
For best results, 2 or more squeegee strokes using a medium rounded or dull squeegee should be applied. After heat-curing and cooling, the printed fabric is washable in warm water. Dry cleaning is NOT recommended.
ATP's contain no solvent or water and WILL NOT dry in the screen.
